چکیده
Water-powered facilities (WPFs) have traditionally been a pillar of the economy and social development. Therefore, state took an interest in having these objects recorded mapped relevant maps registers. This article focuses on identifying localizing WPFs Moravice River basin so-called Sudetenland, Czechia, between years 1763 2021. Specifically, evolution (dis)continuity are assessed through analysis cartographic archival sources, reflecting wider socioeconomic demographic context as explanatory variables. The sources included old military topographic Austria-Hungary Czechoslovakia from four periods (the mid-18th century, mid-19th end 19th mid-20th century) one hand two water-powered facility registers 1930 1953 other. funds regional archives. results show that count peaked during after which there occurred steep decline caused by societal economic changes, namely, expulsion local German population, nationalization postwar period, organizational transformations socialist era. Special attention is paid to hydropower plants, whose reflects outlined processes.

Optimization of long-term Han River basin hydropower scheduling using linear programming
Power production in Korea can be classified into nuclear, thermal, and hydropower generation. The nuclear power plant occupies the largest portion of power generation, whilst hydropower only accounts for 2%. Nevertheless, many people are interested in hydropower generation, because its power generation time is shorter than that of nuclear and thermal power. In addition, it is considered as clea...

متن کاملTrading-off fish biodiversity, food security, and hydropower in the Mekong River Basin.
The Mekong River Basin, site of the biggest inland fishery in the world, is undergoing massive hydropower development. Planned dams will block critical fish migration routes between the river's downstream floodplains and upstream tributaries. Here we estimate fish biomass and biodiversity losses in numerous damming scenarios using a simple ecological model of fish migration. Our framework allow...
متن کاملAnalysis of Future Hydropower Development and Operational Scenarios on the Zambezi River Basin
The Zambezi River basin is the fourth largest in Africa. Covering an area of about 1 400 000 km2 that is shared among 8 countries, it is the home of over 30 million people. There are ample opportunities for development in the region, including on the hydropower sector, whose estimated potential still to be exploited amounts to over 8 000 MW. In the future, the Zambezi is thought to be particula...
